Our beautiful mountains are being impacted

Global warming is having a significant impact on skiing in Europe. Rising temperatures are causing snow to melt earlier in the season and snowfall to become less frequent and less reliable. Ski resorts are now experiencing shorter ski seasons, and some are struggling to maintain their businesses as a result. As snow melts earlier, it can also increase the risk of avalanches, making skiing even more dangerous.

In addition to the impact on ski resorts, global warming is affecting the entire winter sports industry in Europe. Many smaller businesses, such as ski rental shops and ski schools, are also feeling the effects of the changing climate. The reduced snowfall is leading to less demand for skiing, which is resulting in fewer tourists visiting ski resorts. This, in turn, is having an impact on the local economy, with some areas losing out on a significant source of income. Overall, the effects of global warming on skiing in Europe are wide-ranging and concerning for both the industry and local communities.

Framing & Shipping

Shipping one item at a time is not eco-friendly for several reasons. First, it requires more packaging material per item, especially if the items are framed with glass.  Items need to be packed separately, which can lead to an increase in the number of packaging materials used. This creates more waste and requires more resources to produce and dispose of, contributing to the overall carbon footprint.

Second, shipping one item at a time leads to more frequent transportation, which increases the number of vehicles on the road and air, and thus, more emissions. This increases the carbon footprint of the shipping process and contributes to global warming.

Third, shipping one item at a time is less efficient. Shipping companies have to make more trips to deliver items, which increases the time and fuel required to transport goods. This not only creates more emissions but also leads to increased costs for both the shipping company and the consumer.

Finally, shipping one item at a time is often unnecessary. Consolidating multiple items into one shipment can reduce the overall carbon footprint of shipping and make the process more efficient.

We do offer bespoke framing and courier shipping for orders of multiple items as this can reduce the amount of packaging material used, decrease the number of vehicles required, and ultimately lower their carbon emissions.
